Local Amenities
Cadgwith is an historic fishing village with fleet launched off the south beach. Fresh fish and shell fish is available from the fish counter behind Dummer’s loft and fishing trips are available. At the centre of Cove life is a pub which provides a warm welcome to all visitors and their dogs, excellent food and accommodation with entertainment and themed nights throughout the year. The village is also served by a bistro, tea rooms and a small shop providing amongst other things those delicious Cornish ice creams. There are so many walks around the Lizard and the Daily Telegraph featured five of them in their Top Ten circular walks in South West Cornwall (13th August 2016).
Helford and Gillan Creek 6 miles
Start and finish at the New Inn in Manaccan. Head up the hill out of the village and take the footpath across the fields and through the woods to Helford where you can stop at the Shipwright Arms or take a ferry over to Helford Passage and The Ferry Boat Inn. from Helford, walk back along the coastline to Dennis Head before returning to Gillan Creek.

St Keverne and Porthallow 5 miles
Start and Finish at the White Hart, St. Keverne. From the church, take the footpath to Porthoustock via Porhkerris, the coast closest to the ship wrecking manacles. Take the path to return via Tregaminion heading south-west over the meadows.

Cadgwith Cove 5 miles
Start and finish at the Cadgwith Cove Inn. Head south west on the coast path, past the Devil’s Frying Pan to Church Cove, just east of the Lizard. The route back is past the Cornish Chough brewery at Trethvas Farm and St. Ruan Holy Well.

Church Cove, Gunwalloe, and Halzephron Cliffs 6 miles
Start and finish at Halzephron Inn, Gunwalloe. From the inn, take the coastal path over the cliffs to Church Cove and the church of St. Winwaloe (1468). Take the path by the golf course and along the road to Cury before crossing the fields back to the inn.

Perranuthnoe to Porthleven 9 miles
Start and finish at Victoria Inn, Perranuthnoe. This is not a circular walk however, there are frequent buses back to the start. The route takes in panoramic views towards St. Michael’s Mount, Cudden point, Prussia Cove, Praa Sands and Rinsey Head before arriving at Porthleven with all it has to offer.
